Mount Waverley Badminton Centre has been part of Melbourne's badminton story from the very start. As the city's first professional centre, it has helped shape the local game across generations — for players, families, coaches and students alike.
The centre sits in the heart of Mount Waverley, one of Melbourne's most established family and education corridors, close to leading schools, universities and quiet neighbourhood streets. That setting has made it a natural home for all kinds of players — casual hitters, juniors finding their feet, social groups, and competitors after a serious game.
Now growing to 14 professional courts, the centre is adding more room to play without losing what makes it different. Where big stadium venues can feel impersonal, MWBC stays private and personal — professional enough for serious training, yet relaxed enough for families, friends and anyone picking up a racquet again after time away.
It has always been more than a place to book a court. Between weekend hits, family games, coaching sessions and school programs, players build fitness, confidence and friendships here — and often a connection to the game that lasts for years.

Every court at Mount Waverley Badminton Centre is finished to a professional standard — Yonex badminton mats underfoot, and uniform, high-contrast, glare-free lighting overhead. Together they give a true, consistent playing surface and a clear view of the shuttle from anywhere on court.
The flooring is built for comfort as much as performance, cushioning every step and easing the load on knees and ankles to help players stay on court longer with less risk of injury. The result is a comfortable, safe and genuinely professional place to play — game after game.
